T8 LLC together with Resources of Yamal State Governmental Agency completed work on expanding the backup backbone channel of Yamalo-Nenets regional interdepartmental telecommunication network along the Salekhard - Nadym - Pangody - Novy Urengoy - Purovsk - Gubkinsky - Noyabrsk route. The total bandwidth of the channels for the two starter complexes 2020 and 2021 amounted to 200 Gbps.
T8 company has completed work on launching communication channels of the backbone technological network for Transammiak PJSC. The transition from copper infrastructure to optical network using wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) technology was one of the stages of a large-scale modernization of the world's longest ammonia pipeline.
Coherent communication systems have made a revolutionary breakthrough in the development of fiber-optic DWDM communication lines, dramatically increasing the bandwidth of networks and the range of non-regenerative transmission. However it was found, that lightning strikes, causing a fast state of polarization rotation of a light wave with information signal, can interrupt the operation of coherent FOCL based on aerial fiber-optic cables located in a ground wire.

T8 LLC., the leading Russian manufacturer of telecommunications equipment for wavelength division multiplexing for optical communication networks, has upgraded the backbone lines of one of the largest operators in Russia with a length of more than 2,400 km. High-speed lines were launched in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Republic of Buryatia and the Irkutsk Region.
The new backbone high-speed network 100 Gbit/s, deployed on Volga platform, has connected 13 customer nodes in the largest cities of Russia. The network is deployed on existing fiber infrastructure using an Alien Wavelength solution.
T8 has completed the new round of a large-scale upgrade of the regional data transmission network of a large telecom operator in the Siberian Federal District. During the upgrade, new Volga DWDM equipment was installed in more than 50 communication nodes. In a number of segments, the speed of communication channels increased more than 10 times!
The results of testing the Volga DWDM equipment using the latest generation transponder with support for 400 Gbit / s speeds were summed up. The MS-400E Gbit / s transponder board provided a stable communication channel with a speed of 150 Gbit / s on a real Moscow-Yekaterinburg line in the existing network of the federal telecommunications operator using Alien Wavelength technology.
