T8 presented a new technological solution for optical communication networks at SPIGF 2023

One of the central exhibits of the interactive multimedia exposition at the collective stand “Import substitution in the gas industry” of Gazprom PJSC was the Ramenka OTDR system for 24/7 monitoring the condition of optical infrastructure in automatic mode. T8 company is the only domestic developer and manufacturer of OTDR systems of this class. The system is developed according to global telecommunications standards, so a smooth transition to new equipment is possible without changing the network architecture and without traffic interrupting.

“Ramenka system has become a real hit in 2023, as today the stable operation of the optical transport infrastructure, fault tolerance and reliability have come to the fore. Network state prediction and preventing faults have become priorities for operators. The impulse for the development of this area was once given by Gazprom PJSC, that is one of our largest customers of equipment and technologies,” noted Konstantin Marchenko, Deputy General Director for Strategic Development of T8.

Konstantin Marchenko spoke about the company’s activities and developments for the digital transformation of the gas industry to Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Gazprom PJSC. Konstantin Marchenko noted that T8 develops and produces all equipment and software at its technological sites in Moscow. T8 helps to ensure a smooth transition of telecom operators and fuel and energy companies to Russian-made equipment.
