On December 14, T8 took part in the OpenRAN Russia 2021 conference at Skoltech. In the 5G demo zone, visitors could get acquainted with the company's universal solution, which is the MS-200EC2-SX10P/Q40Q OTN aggregator for transmitting 4G and 5G client traffic to Fronthaul, Midhaul and Backhaul:
— combining up to 10 client streams with a total capacity of 200 Gbit/s and transmitting them into a linear DWDM signal;
— support for various Fronthaul 4G and 5G protocols such as CPRI (CPRI7,8,10), eCPRI (10GE, 25GE) options, SyncE and 1588v2 network synchronization protocols;
— transmission of a linear coherent transponder signal over distances of more than 100 km without the need for amplification and regeneration.
A feature of the solution is optimized latency, which is important for new 5G scenarios and makes the unit multipurpose for any segment.
OpenRAN 2021 is the first international conference in Russia dedicated to the open architecture of radio access.
OpenRAN is a key global trend in the development of telecommunications solutions for mobile networks.
