  • We have organized high-speed transit channels with a total line length of 16,700 km for a backbone telecom operator
  • We took 1st place in the "Innovative Solutions in Telecommunications" category of the "Import Independence in Telecommunications" competition

2023

More than 100,000 km of DWDM networks, from the Kaliningrad region to the Kamchatka Krai, operate on our equipment

2021

  • The mobile DWDM equipment Volga enabled live video broadcasting of the European Football Championship matches from St. Petersburg
  • We became participants in the first End-to-End DWDM project aimed at developing products for the radio-electronic industry based on domestic electronic components
  • We opened the first specialized department High-Speed Backbone DWDM Transport Systems at the Bonch-Bruevich Saint Petersburg State University of Telecommunications (SPbSUT)

2019

  • We set a world record for transmitting a 200 Gbps signal over 520 km in a single span without regeneration
  • We took 1st place in the group of most innovative companies and ranked in the TOP-5 overall among medium-sized companies in the "TechSuccess" rating

2018

  • We developed a high-speed 400G module that operates on a single carrier wavelength
  • The DWDM platform Volga received CE (Conformité Européenne) certification for access to the European Union market
  • We developed our own components for the platform: a 40 Gbps modulator, and MUX/DEMUX AAWG

2017

  • The Volga equipment ensured the live broadcast of FIFA Confederations Cup matches from St. Petersburg
  • We ranked 5th in the group of small innovative companies in the "TechSuccess" rating

2016

We entered the "TechSuccess" rating and became a participant in the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation's project "National Champions"

2015

We set a record for 100G signal transmission without regeneration in an amplifier cascade in a real-world line: Moscow–Novosibirsk: Moscow > Samara > Novosibirsk: 4250 km with an OSNR margin of 7 dB and Moscow > Yekaterinburg > Novosibirsk: 3400 km with an OSNR margin of 8.5 dB

2014

  • We set a distance transmission record for single-span DWDM communication lines for 10×100 Gbit/s using remote pumping ROPA
  • The Volga 100G DWDM equipment facilitated the live broadcast of the Sochi Winter Olympics
  • We are laureates of the Laser Association's awards in three categories within the field of photonics

2013

  • We organized communication channels for the G20 summit held in St. Petersburg.
  • We transmitted a signal at 1 Tbps (10 channels of 100 Gbps each) over 500 km in a single-span line
  • As a result of the national ranking of Russian companies "TechSuccess," we entered the TOP-30 and the TOP-10 fastest-growing companies
  • We are laureates of the CNEWS AWARDS in the "Russian Technologies" category for the development of the 100 Gbps DWDM platform "Volga"

2012

  • We developed the first 100 Gbps transponder in Russia, Volga for transmitting a 100 Gbps signal over 2000 km in an 80-channel DWDM system
  • The international agency Wintergreen Research included us in the list of WDM equipment manufacturers, being the only company from the CIS countries
  • We set a world record for transmitting a 100 Gbps signal over 4000 km of fiber without dispersion compensation in an 80-channel DWDM system

2011

We set the first world record for transmitting a 40 Gbps signal over 2000 km. This record was dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT)

2008

In 2008, T8 was founded with the goal of creating its own Russian DWDM equipment for backbone communication lines, matching the best global manufacturers. From that moment on, the company began its active development and growth

The company's history began in 1999 with a group of young physicists who were passionate about fiber optic welding, the installation of optical fiber communication lines, and the setup of data transmission equipment
