T8 Scientific and Technical Center became a participant of the project of the innovative scientific and technological center of Moscow

On January 25, the Lomonosov flagship cluster was officially opened for the first project participants. In the scientific laboratory located in the cluster, T8 STC specialists, together with scientists, postgraduates and students of Moscow State University, will research and develop compact DWDM systems for data centers using artificial intelligence elements. This will optimize the parameters of equipment and optical communication lines.

“In 2022, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade set the goal of reaching a share of Russian equipment in the Russian DWDM market of 40% by 2025. Currently, T8 equipment occupies 15% of the Russian market, imported equipment is more than 80%. Growth in the share of Russian equipment by a factor of three in three years is an ambitious task that requires the combined efforts of leading industrial companies, universities and scientific organizations. The joint work of specialists from T8 and Moscow State University will accelerate the development and launch of new generation DWDM systems in Russia and successfully fulfill the tasks set by the President and the Government of Russia,” said Andrey Leonov, Deputy Director for Technical Development of T8 STC.

"Vorobyovy Gory" MSU ISTC was established in 2019 to form the world-class innovation ecosystem on the new territory of M.V. Lomonosov MSU. The Center consists of nine thematic clusters focused on priority scientific areas. The opening of the ISTC will reduce the time from the stage of scientific discovery to its implementation and the release of competitive innovative products.
